“When I first came to America, I experienced many language and cultural barriers, and I had a lot of new social norms to learn. 

I really wanted to find my self-image and who I was, and sitting in a coffee shop was one of the only things that helped me cope with my struggles of adapting to a different culture.

Coffee didn’t take my problems away, but connecting with the world by talking to other people made me feel welcome. Connecting with people brought a new positivity in my life.

When you’re coming into a new culture, you tend to isolate yourself, so when people approached me at the coffee shop, it really helped me find a sense of belonging in a new place I was trying to call home.

Through LeNoir Dimbaya Coffee, I want to extend this positivity to my staff and our customers by providing a place for people to connect and build relationships over a great cup of coffee.
